Cargo handling and restraint manufacturer Ancra Cargo recently introduced FasTrack, a Lift-A-Deck II conversion track for temporary installation.
The FasTrack system is a single track with brackets attached to the back for mounting into vertical logistics post slots. This track, with the addition of a Lift-A-Deck II beam, converts a standard dry van trailer into a captive beam Lift-A-Deck II decking trailer without requiring a permanent installation. FasTrack provides all the benefits of traditional captive decking systems along with the versatility of short-term usage or customer demonstration, the company said.
Filling truck bodies and trailers to the maximum can be difficult, with fill rates, resource utilization, damage claims and load securement all concerns. The FasTrack system helps solve these problems. With the flexibility for short-term use of the system, it’s possible to customize deck heights to accommodate loads of different sizes and insert Lift-A-Deck II beams where needed. This increases load average and reduces damage claims by avoiding double stacking of freight, Ancra maintained.
“Conveniently install the 78-inch beveled single track assembly into vertical logistics post slots within your trailer,” the company said.
Two tracks are required for each beam location. Brackets are spaced every 12 inches to mount to standard vertical E/A slots on 4- or 6-inch centers. A socket head screw beam stop is included at the top of the Fastrack conversion track. A standard beam stop should be installed above the insertion slot after a beam has been inserted into the track to captivate the beam, Ancra said. This is currently not included with the track. A ¼-20 socket head cap screw, provided with the conversion track, helps keep track secured in the logistics post.
