CDK enhances IntelliDealer management system

CDK Global recently introduced the latest generation of its Dealer Management System (DMS) for heavy equipment dealers.

CDK Global recently introduced the latest generation of its Dealer Management System (DMS) for heavy equipment dealers.

A direct response to extensive customer feedback obtained through Dealer Workshops, as well as its Dealer Management Conference and advisory boards, IntelliDealer 5.0 DMS includes more than 200 new features and enhancements, of which more than 90 percent are the result of dealer requests and feedback.

CDK Global Heavy Equipment is extremely proud of our relationship with our customers, as we continuously seek out and listen to what they want and need to run a successful business,” said Craig Green, director of product development for CDK Global Heavy Equipment.

“IntelliDealer 5.0 continues our commitment to partnering with the dealer community to provide the most complete and robust system available.”

The most notable of IntelliDealer’s enhancements is the completely redesigned menu system. Several menu screens across the platform were redesigned with dealer input, delivering exceptionally intuitive and quick navigation via the traditional menu, as well as new breadcrumbs.

In addition to the new menu system, IntelliDealer 5.0 improves upon the previous generation’s message notifications, which required users to access specific screens. Now, a brand-new notification system built to specifically notify users when they have new, unread messages allows dealers to stay focused on the task at hand, and know exactly when they have a message that needs a response.

Other new, major features of CDK IntelliDealer 5.0 include:

  • Sticky State Functionality – New to IntelliDealer 5.0 is a redesigned front-end functionality that saves the state of windows in new screens. This allows users to save multiple sticky states of everything from search filters, tab ordering, page sizes and more.
  • Pinned Action Buttons – Action buttons are pinned to the bottom of screens to reduce the need for scrolling, allowing users to complete actions quicker.
  • Expanded Part Number Field – Dealers indicated a need for a larger part number field, so CDK doubled it from the current 15 digits to 30 digits. CDK has also adjusted the parts barcode on each label that is printed to accommodate the larger field.

“The customer has always been at the epicenter of everything that we do at CDK, and we take their feedback very seriously,” said Lloyd Farnsworth, a vice president and general manager for CDK.

“This year’s release balances major new enhancements with improvements to existing workflows, and we’re excited to begin rolling it out to new and existing customers.”
