Alcoa’s new M-Series aluminum wheels meet medium-duty truck requirements

July 1, 2013

Alcoa announced it has bolstered applications for Classes 3-6 medium-duty truck segments with the introduction of its M-Series line of aluminum wheels.

Each wheel in the M-Series collection features the same benefits Alcoa forged aluminum wheels provide to heavy-duty (Classes 7–8) customers, but are now customized to fit medium-duty applications. M-Series wheels resist corrosion to virtually eliminate wheel maintenance costs and maintain a clean bright look. At nearly half the weight of a steel wheel, Alcoa M-Series wheels improve fuel economy, reduce carbon emissions, and are completely recyclable.

The M-Series line of wheels provides brush and polish finish options. Select part numbers are also offered with Alcoa’s patented Dura-Bright surface treatment option. Dura-Bright wheels require no polish and are an easy-maintenance way to shiny, durable wheels. The Dura-Bright production process penetrates the forged aluminum, which holds the shine—even after hundreds of washes and thousands of miles. Since Dura-Bright wheels rinse easily with mild soap and water, they eliminate the need for caustic cleaning products.

The M-Series wheel collection is designed for straight trucks, cabovers, and low-deck trailers in the beverage, delivery, food processing, retail/wholesale, emergency, utility, refuse, and towing industries. Specifically the wheels are manufactured to fit Dodge, Ford, Freightliner, Fuso, General Motors, Hino, International, Isuzu, Kenworth, Peterbilt, Smith, and Sprinter vehicle makes.
