DeVilbiss, Binks, and Owens Community College have teamed up to present a spray-finishing technology workshop. This training program is scheduled for Sept 19-21, 2001, in Toledo OH. Classes meet from 8:30 am to 4 pm daily and include both classroom and hands-on sessions. Two continuing-education units are awarded. Workshop topics will include: equipment types and selection; equipment set-up, operation, and maintenance; surface preparation and defect analysis; material selection; and safety and regulatory concerns.

ITW Ransburg Electrostatic Systems and Owens Community College have partnered to present a training program titled “Fundamentals of Electrostatic Painting.” This workshop is scheduled for Sept 25-26, 2001, in Toledo. Classes meet from 9 am to 4 pm daily and include both classroom instruction and spray lab activity. A total of 1.2 continuing-education units are awarded. Topics will include: principles of electrostatic painting; advantages and implications of electrostatic coating applications; equipment selection, operation, and maintenance; understanding coating materials, substrates, and transfer efficiency; and safety and grounding concerns.
