Safety Vision has acquired licensee nights to Ultrak's patent #5,319,394, which includes a system for recording and modifying behavior of passengers in passenger vehicles.
This patent relates to ongoing problems with discipline on school buses. Most school districts rely on the bus driver to report incidents involving a lack of discipline to a transportation director, who must either act to remedy the situation or report the incident to the school administration for remedial action.
The problem often encountered when attempts are made to remedy a situation involving discipline of students is denial by students and/or disbelief by parents of the reports of unacceptable behavior on the bus. An on-board surveillance system helps counteract these situations.
