Reading Body Works Inc announces organizational changes

Reading Body Works, Inc. recently made some major announcements including a name change and the naming of a new president. The truck body manufacturer has taken on a new name, Reading Truck Body, Inc. and formed an alliance with Crest Truck Equipment, a network of Reading distributors located in the Mid-Atlantic region. Crest will now be known as Reading Equipment & Distribution, Inc. and will continue to operate within the same limited territorial boundaries as before. Both companies will operate collectively under a new name, The Reading Group. The new president of the Reading Group is Dan Perlman. Perlman previously served as Reading's Vice President of Manufacturing and has been with the company for 25 years. He brings a wealth of knowledge to his new role including expertise in product research and development, manufacturing technology, and plant operations. He developed and implemented various state-of-the-art technologies and processes that have put Reading Body at the forefront of the truck body manufacturing industry. In his new position, Perlman will oversee all aspects of both organizations. Reading Truck Body, Inc. will operate under the guidance of Jack O'Donnell as Chief Operating Officer. O'Donnell, formerly Reading's Executive Vice President, has been with the company since 1976. As Reading's Vice President of Sales, O'Donnell continued to develop Reading's distributor network and help further Reading's sales efforts in the public utility, fleet and leasing industries. He also is responsible for expanding the market with Ford, Chevrolet, and GMC bailment pools. Norm Ziegler has been named Chief Operating Officer of Reading Equipment & Distribution, Inc. Ziegler and his father, Norm Ziegler Sr. founded Crest in 1972 and turned it into a premier truck equipment distributorship.
