America's Body Co (ABC) has appointed Jim Hackney senior vice-president - manufacturing and operations. He comes to ABC with more than 30 years' experience at Ford Motor Co's Automotive Assembly Division, where he held various engineering and production management positions.
Hill Manufacturing Co of Shoemakersville PA has named Daniel Rissmiller plant manager in charge of steel and aluminum dump trailer manufacturing. He was previously the owner of Oley Iron Works.
Heil Trailer International has promoted John Snodgrass to vice-president - global accounts. He most recently was manager of major oil and global accounts. Bill Brininstool has been promoted to managing director of Heil Asia. He has served in the international and export group, as a regional sales person, manager of the export department, and product manager. Karl Stabenow has been named general manager of Kalyn/Siebert, Heil's recent acquisition. He most recently was sales manager of both Heil and J&L Tank. Allan Nilsson has been promoted to sales manager of J&L Tank. Nilsson previously served in Heil's engineering department. Rob Sitton has been named engineering supervisor at J&L Tank. He has served in positions at Heil Texas and at Heil's facility in the United Kingdom. Mahmood Kazi, vice-president - international, has retired. Kazi began with Heil in 1991 as director of the Pacific Region and spent the past 18 years in the sale of refuse trucks and tankers.

Marc Gustafson has resigned as president and chief executive officer of Volvo Trucks North America (VTNA), a position he has held since 1996. Karl-Erling Trogen, senior vice-president of Volvo AB, the OEM's Swedish parent, has been appointed VTNA's acting president and CEO.

Brian H Buckham is the new marketing manager for Hendrickson International's Trailer Suspension Systems division. In his most recent position with Kumho Tire in Akron OH, he served as product development manager for North America.
Tom Wladyka has joined Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems as product line director - specialty products. He most recently served with ArvinMeritor Inc as regional sales manager.
Associations
Paul Marshall, manager - sales and marketing with Osage Industries Inc, Linn MO, is the new president of the Ambulance Manufacturers Division (AMD) of the National Truck Equipment Association (NTEA). Also elected as AMD officers are: First Vice-President Dave Lamon, vice-president of sales with Horton Emergency Vehicles Co, Grove City OH; Second Vice-President Phil Braun, president of Braun Industries, Van Wert OH; and Treasurer K Alan McFerren, project/compliance manager, with Medtec Ambulance Corp, Goshen IN. Louis Kleinstiver, NTEA technical services director, is serving as secretary for the group.
Evelyn Martin, former administrative manager of the Truck Trailer Manufacturers Association, has died. She retired from TTMA in 1994 after a 37-year career there. Martin is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, two grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Contributions may be made to local chapters of the American Diabetes Society, Alzheimer's Association, or Hospice Association.
