Exports of trucks and buses rose almost 50% in March, according to the Asociación Nacional de Productores de Autobuses, Camiones y Tratocamiones (ANPACT).

Mexico exported 4,188 units during March, 49% more than the 2,808 exported in March 2005. Through the first three months of 2006, Mexican manufacturers exported 11,011 vehicles, up 18% from the corresponding period of 2005.

The United States continued to be Mexico's best customer. Of the 4,188 vehicles exported in March, 3,619 were shipped to the United States, or 86% of the total.
