The new Graco HFR Metering System is a hydraulic fixed-ratio meter, mix-and-dispense unit that handles two-component materials including epoxies, silicones, polyureas, polyurethane foams, and polyurethane elastomers. The unit offers a fixed-ratio range of 1:1 to 16:1 and flow rates of 6.7 cc/s (0.11 gpm) to 315 cc/s (5.0 gpm). The modular design of this fully configurable system allows manufacturers to add features as their manufacturing processes evolve.
Manufacturers can expect an accurate on-ratio dispense with the Graco HFR Metering System. In constant communication with the system's advanced display module, the motor control module makes real-time adjustments to deliver a precise dispense. The system's motor control module executes a closed-loop control algorithm to drive the motor and produce hydraulic fluid flow and pressure.
The system uses Graco Control Architecture, a standardized platform of control software and hardware, to provide easy set-up, material monitoring capabilities, and system diagnostics. Graco Control Architecture has local control modules that are easily updatable. The system is equipped with a USB drive that allows the manufacturer to insert a flash drive and download data such as pressures, temperatures, actual ratio, and total flow output. Manufacturers can save this data to a computer for analysis and future reference. The user interface stores 100 shot sizes and five sequences of 20 positions each.
The system's Graco Z-Series horizontal pumps are capable of processing filled materials. With standard wear parts, the Graco Z-Series Pumps cost less to maintain and are easy to service in the field through Graco's distribution network.
