Godwin Mfg Co Inc and McClain Industries Inc announced that Godwin has reached an agreement in principle to acquire essentially all the operating assets of McClain Galion in Winesburg, OH. The transaction is expected to close on or before Sept. 5, subject to the satisfaction of certain conditions."We are very excited about the opportunity to acquire McClain Galion," said James P. It started in 1966 as Godwin Welding Service and 13 years later became Godwin Mfg Co. It offers a complete line of flatbeds, hoists, and contractor beds, and is involved in the municipal contract business. Previous purchases include R/S Truck Body Inc of Allen, KY.
