Tank and trailer manufacturer Beall Corporation has purchased K&H Manufacturing, a builder of dump truck bodies and equipment based in Phoenix, Arizona.

Beall, headquartered in Portland, Oregon, sells more than 1200 tank and construction trailers annually. Beall’s 13 sales and service branches in the western half of the United States will become dealers for K&H products and K&H’s two manufacturing and service facilities in the Phoenix area will be operated as a subsidiary of Beall Corporation, according to the firm’s Chairman Jerry E. Beall.

Former President of K&H, Erik Davis, will become Vice President / General Manager of the new Beall operation. All K&H personnel will be retained in their current positions.

The K&H products will extend Beall’s line of construction products at a time when road construction projects throughout the West, particularly in California, are driving demand for new hauling equipment. With five manufacturing facilities, multiple sales and service offices, and more than 500 employees, Beall Corporation’s sales revenue was more than $100 million in 2006. It is the third-largest manufacturer of bulk and tank trailers in the country and the largest manufacturer of custom tanks.
