Autocar Xpeditor trucks have won competitive bidding by major cities adding refuse trucks to their fleets. Wins have come in the City and County of Salt Lake UT, Dallas TX, and Ontario CA, with other announcements expected soon.
In Salt Lake, 39 Xpeditor WXR 64s are being added to the refuse fleet. Dallas returned to Xpeditors in 2003, purchasing 18 trucks after having gone with a competitor in its previous refuse truck purchase. Ontario, an eastern suburb of Los Angeles, added 15 Xpeditor WXLL64 trucks to its fleet, for a total of 23 Xpeditors the city has purchased in a little over a year.
