Billed as “the first of its kind in the North American trailer industry,” Wabash National recently hosted a ribbon cutting event at its new manufacturing operation in Little Falls, MN. The facility will serve as the primary manufacturing site for Wabash National’s proprietary molded structural composite (MSC) panels. It will also be a flexible launch facility for the final assembly of MSCT refrigerated trailers.

Six months into the operation, the company has ramped up the workforce to just under 60 associates, and there is “significant activity” still underway as Wabash continues to install the necessary machinery and tooling, reports Dana Stelsel, corporate communications manager.

“We are very pleased with the overall progress made to date and are equally excited with how well this organic initiative fits with our recent acquisition of Supreme,” Stelsel tells Trailer/Body Builders.

Look for complete coverage of the new site in an upcoming issue of TBB.
