Carrier Transicold is introducing the new OptimaLINE container refrigeration unit, which offers up to 15% fuel efficiency improvements, the company stated.
“We are committed to listening to our customers and providing exceptional solutions to meet their needs,” said Vineet Kashyap, vice president and general manager, Global Container Refrigeration, Carrier Transicold. “OptimaLINE boosts fuel efficiency to operate sustainably while reducing operating expenses for our customers.”
OptimaLINE also features design advances such as a variable speed scroll compressor that has a permanent magnet motor driven by a variable frequency drive, enabling the system to operate at optimal levels under different ambient conditions, setpoints, and even at different cooling loads.
Other key aspects of the OptimaLINE system include:
- The ability to maintain high-energy efficiency at all operating points and all load conditions.
- Lowering annual energy costs by up to 15% compared to previous Carrier units, with maximums measured at full load 15%, part load 85%; frozen 50%, and perishable 50%.
- Providing a greater reduction of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions by up to 40% compared to previous Carrier units.
The OptimaLINE unit also integrates with Carrier Transicold’s Lynx Fleet telematics platform, enabling capabilities such as Reefer Health analytics, remote monitoring and control of the refrigeration system, GPS location data, geofencing, and more.
