Fast-growing trailer manufacturer Novae Corp. held a groundbreaking ceremony Feb. 9 for a new 150,000-square-foot manufacturing facility to be built in Markle, Indiana. The state-of-the-art facility will increase capabilities in both advanced manufacturing and robotics, according to the company.
"We founded Novae in Markle, and I can't think of a better place to build our newest and most advanced facility, proving that manufacturing is alive and growing in Indiana," said Steve Bermes, CEO of Novae.
Linda Walczak, vice president of business retention and expansions at the Indiana Economic Development Corporation, also spoke at the event.
"We are truly lucky that Novae continues to choose Indiana as a place to do business," she said.
A reported $35 million investment will create up to 36 jobs by the end of 2024.
"Hiring good people is essential to long-term success,” Chris Storie, Novae president and COO, said. “We are proud of the more than 1,500 talented men and women who manufacture trailers and provide services to our dealers across North America. We're always looking for good people to add to our team."
Novae’s brands include LOOK Trailers, Midsota, Trailerman, and I69 Trailer Center.
