American Trailer Rental Group recently completed the acquisition of Ervin Equipment's rental fleet in Laredo, Texas. The deal, which closed April 30, adds a location in the key south Texas market for the Advantage Trailer Rental brand, ATRG reported.
"This important expansion advances our strategic objective to build a national footprint via greenfield developments and strategic acquisitions,” CEO Jonathan Brooks said. “With this location we know have a presence in another key market in Texas."
The Laredo location will be led by Nicole Roberts, who is also the general manager of ATRG Austin and San Antonio locations. She is an experienced veteran of the trailer business and is fluent in Spanish to assist Spanish speaking customers in this market.
The Ervin buy represents the sixth acquisition since Milton Street Capital's formation of the American Trailer Rental Group in June of 2017. This deal, coupled with the company’s greenfield initiatives, brings the total number of rental locations to 17 while the rental fleet has grown to nearly 16,000 units, the company reported.
ATRG is a family of companies that operates under the brands Meisler Trailer Rental (Meisler), First in Trailer Service (FITS), Fleet Trailer Rental (Fleet), Advantage Trailer Rental (Advantage), and Arizona Storage Trailer Rental. ATRG has operations in Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, Missouri, Kansas, Texas and Arizona.
