Work Truck Solutions added Manheim as a partner to its Vehicle Acquisition Search Tool (VAST). As commercial vehicle inventory shortages continue to restrict franchised dealers’ OEM allotments, Manheim’s addition to VAST has brought the available vehicle source pool to over 50,000 commercial vehicles.
“We’re happy to provide another valuable inventory source to dealerships selling commercial vehicles,” says Kathryn Schifferle, CEO of Work Truck Solutions. “Supply chain difficulties continue to put stress on business customers of dealerships as they depend on having vehicles to maintain and grow their businesses. We’re always looking for ways to help them succeed and adding another inventory source to VAST is an example of our focus.”
Work Truck Solutions first unveiled VAST in April of 2021. Over a year later, dealers can use VAST to quickly find inventory from auctions, fleets, rental companies, and other sources efficiently from one platform. Additionally, commercial dealers can quickly narrow their search by make and model, as well as utilize unique filters such as body/chassis/cab type, plows, and Gross Vehicle Weight Rating, among others.
"Access to inventory couldn't be more critical for dealers, so we have developed the technology and the platform that offers dealers access to the broadest selection of inventory so that they can be highly selective," said Schifferle. "We wanted to cut down on the required time investment for search, while increasing the quality of choice.
