Engineered Transportation International’s Juarez, Mexico, trailer operations recently earned a 2021 Plant Safety Award from the Truck Trailer Manufacturers Association (TTMA).
The award was presented during TTMA’s annual convention in Scottsdale, Arizona.
The company’s 360,000-square-foot Juarez facility, which produces Heil and Polar Tank trailers, was recognized in the “A” category, which includes manufacturing plants with more than 750,000 labor hours per year.
TTMA has been awarding plant safety awards for 49 years. Winners are selected based on an evaluation taken from injury data recorded on the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) annual injury reports. EnTrans said the Juarez facility achieved lower-than-industry averages in three areas: Total recordable incident rate (TRIR); days away, restricted or transferred (DART); and lost workday case incidence rate (LWIR).
“Receiving this industry recognition of our safety performance is an honor, and I am proud of the Juarez team for their dedication to working safely,” said Ryan Rockafellow, CEO of EnTrans.
“Safety is a top priority and one of our core values at EnTrans. We remain focused on safety at every one of our facilities.”
