Bonnell Industries Inc. breaks ground on expansion

Bonnell Industries recentlyabroke ground on an expansion for both their manufacturing segment and the truck equipment segment.

This expansion will involve increasing current manufacturing floor space by 300% to establish a new 100,000-sq.-ft. manufacturing facility lin Dixon, Illinois.

The additional space will enable the company to make a significant investment in new automated equipment, resulting in a reduction in waste within operations and an increase in overall efficiencies, the company said. By reconfiguring the layout of their production assembly lines, they will be able to convert 18,000 indirect labor hours into direct labor hours, thereby increasing productivity and output.

Upon completion of this relocation, Bonnell Industries will also be able to transfer the current truck equipment installation facility into their current manufacturing facility. This move will provide the company with a 400% increase in available production space for their truck equipment division.
