KEITH Manufacturing is establishing a new custom training program to support its trailer dealer network.

The new program, headed by longtime KEITH sales representative John Harris, who recently was named director of sales and product training, is designed to provide sales teams with the tools needed to recommend the WALKING FLOOR line of products, and identify and cultivate new markets in the trailer industry.

“The basic, working knowledge of our WALKING FLOOR products gives the sales staff the proper tools to help identify the customers’ actual needs,” said Harris, who added that the goal of the program is to provide up-to-date product information and services that keep dealers on the leading edge when offering equipment recommendations to customers.

The WALKING FLOOR system is a moving-floor, horizontal unloading and loading system installed in trailers. The system has become an industry standard in unloading municipal solid waste from transfer trailers, and is used in a multitude of other industries.

Harris joined KEITH in 2000 and successfully represented the company in the southeastern United States. In looking to expand dealer services, the company saw Harris, a Georgia Southern graduate, as a natural fit.
