Buyers Products has released a straight blade plow specifically designed for use with most ½-ton and smaller pickup trucks. Much like the 2022 SnowDogg VMXII, the MXII snow plow has been structurally optimized to weigh less than 450 pounds, which allows the plow to be mounted on lighter trucks like the Ford F-150s, Chevrolet Silverado 1500s and RAM 1500s, as well as many SUVs and smaller trucks, the company noted.
The SnowDogg MXII is an extension of SnowDogg’s rapidly growing straight blade plow line, which also includes the EXII for one-ton-plus pickup trucks and CMII for Class 4-6 trucks. Designed to move heavy, wet snow in a compact design, the plow features a genuine, 304 stainless-steel blade and a robust frame built to absorb heavy impacts.
The MXII also incorporates SnowDogg features like an upgraded RapidLink Attachment System and Floating A-frame and will be available with the new SnowDogg Illuminator LP Low Profile LED Plow Lights.
“Customers loved the improved VMXII mounting system, so we wanted to incorporate that into a straight blade offering for 2024,” Scott Moorman, director of snow and ice equipment at Buyers Products, said. “As these vehicles continue to get lighter in the front end, we will continue to look for ways to optimize weight while keeping the strength that the application demands.”
The SnowDogg MXII is in production at Buyers’ state-of-the-art facility in Northeast Ohio. It is available for the 2024/2025 winter season, according to Buyers Products.
