SKF recently was recognized as a Supplier of the Year for 2019 by American Axle & Manufacturing (AAM) at AAM’s 26th Annual Supplier Day, held virtually from Detroit.
The bearings and sealings components supplier was recognized for continued and consistent exceptional performance.
“SKF and AAM have worked together to bring high-quality, innovative and competitive bearings and sealing solutions into the automotive marketplace,” said Jim Seta, president of automotive OEM bearings at SKF Americas. “We deeply value our relationship with AAM and it is a great honor to be recognized as a Supplier of the Year.”
This is the second Supplier of the Year award SKF has received from AAM.
“The SKF team proactively approaches AAM with new opportunities that create win-win outcomes and engages openly and competitively on new technology,” AAM said in a release.
Electrical Equipment component supplier Ingenieria Y Abastecimiento SA DE CV, also received a Supplier of the Year award. Additionally, 11 suppliers were honored with the AAM Supplier Excellence Award for their demonstrated success in delivery, quality, launch or innovation.
