The University of the Aftermarket, through Northwood University, has opened registration for Aftermarket Data Standards, a course developed for aftermarket catalog managers and product information professionals who want to sharpen their knowledge and management of the industry data standards: ACES and PIES.
Dr. Thomas Litzinger, executive director of the University of the Aftermarket and aftermarket education industry chair at Northwood University, explained this program will help learners become familiar with Auto Care data standards and how to effectively use them in their day-to-day work.
This live, two-day training program is designed for anyone who works with ACES and PIES, or who wants to build upon their foundational understanding of them. Participants will advance their practical knowledge of these data standards through hands-on experience using the associated databases to create ACES and PIES files. The course is facilitated by Northwood faculty and senior aftermarket leaders.
“This learning experience includes a blend of industry research and market analysis,” stated Litzinger. “We will have engaging conversations and thought-provoking debates on key challenges facing the industry related to how the efficiency of our data contributes to our competitive advantage.”
To take this class, attendees must have already taken Introduction to ACES and PIES.
“Master the language of aftermarket data— ain the skills to transform raw content into powerful, standards-driven product information using ACES and PIES,” added Jonathan Larsen, vice president of digital products and standards for the Auto Care Association, which is the voice of the over $500 billion auto care industry.
The program is scheduled for June 17-18 in Detroit, Michigan. To sign up for the course, click here.
