Trux-N-Parts recently joined the Power Heavy Duty network, adding their five buildings in Odessa, Texas, to Power Heavy Duty’s distribution footprint. Trux-N-Parts serves the full range of customers’ parts needs, with a strong presence in the oilfield and agricultural markets.
Founded in 1976 as a truck salvage company, Trux-N-Parts became a full-line heavy-duty parts distributor in 2020. They now have more than 26,000 sq. ft. of warehouse space, including a large showroom and retail area.

“We have a very loyal customer base that we’ve worked hard to build through our salvage business and our repair services, primarily resurfacing flywheels and rebuilding PTO driveshafts,” said Kevin Grissom, store manager of Trux-N-Parts, which he co-owns with his brother, Craig Grissom. “We were encouraged by many of them to get into parts sales, to increase our value proposition. It was a natural area for growth, and we decided that if we could maintain the same levels of customer satisfaction and dedication, we would expand into full-line distribution.”
Trux-N-Parts is the 14th company this year to join the Power Heavy Duty network, part of the VIPAR Heavy Duty Family of Companies, which currently features 920-plus locations including VIPAR Heavy Duty distributors.
“[Trux-N-Parts] are another great example of a business that is keenly focused on customer service and satisfaction, always going the extra mile to help end-user customers achieve maximum uptime, productivity and profitability,” said Jim Pennig, vice president of business development for the VIPAR Heavy Duty Family of Companies.
