Southern manufacturers looking for ways to increase productivity, improve efficiency, lower costs, and reduce time to market can track-test the latest machine tools and metalworking equipment at the Society of Manufacturing Engineers' (SME) South-Tec Greenville Advanced Productivity Exposition (APEX).

Returning to the Palmetto Expo Center in Greenville SC, this odd-year edition of the machine tool and manufacturing event runs Feb 20-22, 2001.

Some 5,000 manufacturing professionals from throughout the South are expected to see more than 200 exhibitors displaying and demonstrating machine tools and metalworking accessories. Exhibits will represent international product lines.

The first South-Tec Career Fair is scheduled for February 21 from 9 am to 6 pm in Room 102. This event is a joint venture between SME and Resume-Link, a resume database management firm. Participants will be included in SME's resume database service for six months after the event. Admission to the Career Fair is free to SME members and South-Tec visitors and $25 for non-members and the general public.
