Hornell Speedglas Inc will be changing its company name to Hornell Inc and also has introduced two new logos.
"These are minor changes to clarify some confusion in the market," said Jim Miklandric, president of Hornell Inc. "Welders know our registered trademark, Speedglas, which is our brand of auto-darkening welding lens. So they frequently assumed that the name of the company was something like Speedglas Inc, which it is not. To eliminate the confusion, we are simply separating the trademarked Speedglas product name from our company name." Hornell Inc is the North American division of Hornell International AB of Gagnef, Sweden.
