Some good news on the commercial vehicle front: According to a report released by The Society of Motor Manufacturers & Traders Limited (SMMT), commercial vehicle registrations in the United Kingdom (U.K.) reached a record high for the month of July. Commercial vehicle registrations were up 11.7% - their highest ever level in July. Light commercial vehicles registrations were up 15.1% in July and 5.4% year-to-date. There is good news on the whole for commercial vehicles year-to-date, with registrations up 3.6%. Bus and coach registrations rose 30 % above the July 2001 figures. The SMMT is the U.K. equivalent of the NTEA.
