    Fluid power group offers new technical standards

    Nine new technical standards have been issued and are offered by the National Fluid Power Association (NFPA): ISO 3968:2001 Hydraulic fluid power Filters

    Nine new technical standards have been issued and are offered by the National Fluid Power Association (NFPA):

    • ISO 3968:2001 Hydraulic fluid power — Filters — Evaluation of differential pressure versus flow characteristics. Price each: $40 list, $34 for NFPA members.

    • ISO 16030:2001 Pneumatic fluid power — Connections — Ports and stud ends. Price: $44 list, $37 NFPA members.

    • ISO 16589 is a five-part standard that describes seals using sealing elements produced from thermoplastic materials, such as polytetrafluoroethylene:

      • ISO 16589-1:2001 Rotary shaft lip-type seals incorporating thermoplastic sealing elements — Part 1: Nominal dimensions and tolerances.Price: $44 list, $37 NFPA members.

      • ISO 16589-2:2001 Rotary shaft lip-type seals incorporating thermoplastic sealing elements — Part 2: Vocabulary (bilingual edition — French and English). Price: $51 list, $44 NFPA members.

      • ISO 16589-3:2001 Rotary shaft lip-type seals incorporating thermoplastic sealing elements — Part 3: Storage, handling, and installation. Price: $36 list, $31 NFPA members.
