Mobility Resources Associates (MRA) a national mobile tour vehicle, equipment, and logistics management firm based in St Clair Shores MI, was selected by Kmart Corp and Don Coleman Advertising (DCA) to create a mobile gospel museum. This museum will travel on a multi-city tour through November 2001.

The museum features “Wade in the Water: African-American Sacred Music Traditions, 1871-2001,” an exhibition from the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service (SITES). As a part of Share the Word, its national program celebrating diversity, Kmart has made this mobile museum possible. DCA is Kmart's agency of record for African-American consumers.

The exhibition is featured in a 48-foot double-expandable trailer, built by Trailer Technologies Inc of Walled Lake MI. Fully expanded, the trailer has 1,000 square feet of space. It is self-contained and includes its own generator. Being driven by the MRA husband-wife driving team of Al and Yvonne Cook, it can be set up less than two hours after arrival at most tour locations.
