Kenworth Truck Company's dealer network continues to expand to nearly 300 locations in the U.S. and Canada with the opening of a parts facility in Ardmore, Okla. The new MHC Kenworth-Ardmore facility is in a strategic location, positioned almost equidistant between Oklahoma City and Dallas on the I-35 corridor, according to David Douglas, vice president for MHC Kenworth-Oklahoma City."Our research and a study by PACCAR Parts came to the same conclusion that this is a key place for a Kenworth operation," he said.Douglas said Ardmore has developed into a growing distribution hub in the Southwest. Several national electronics and discount retailers and Internet-based services maintain warehouses in Ardmore. In addition, numerous major line-haul carriers have terminals in the area. Also, oil production and ready-mix operations are based near Ardmore. Initially, the 12,400-square-foot MHC Kenworth-Ardmore facility offers Kenworth parts. Sales representatives will call on customers in the area, and the facility will offer delivery service. The goal is to grow into a full-service operation within a year, according to Douglas. "We have the space to expand into repair and maintenance and sales," Douglas said. "We offer a large inventory of parts and an experienced parts staff." The dealership will have availability to parts for most leading heavy-duty truck makes and to Kenworth's family of private brand products which includes Acrafit(tm), ClimaTech(r), Paceline(tm), Mirrex(r), INLINE(tm), RoadLeveler(tm), and Dynacraft(r). The branch is located at 5 Interstate Court next to I-35. The phone number is (580) 226-8000 and the fax number is (580) 226-7500. Branch hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday. Parts manager is Brice Clark.
