Waltco Lift Corporation has named Adam Hughes territory sales representative for the West Coast sales team. Hughes joins Waltco from Westrux Idealease in Santa Fe Springs CA, where he served as leasing/rental account manager.
The research and development department at VMAC has hired Osama Jilani, an engineering physics graduate of the University of British Columbia (UBC); and Rob Pletcher, who graduated with a degree in mechanical engineering from UBC. Jilani joins VMAC as a junior electrical engineer, and Pletcher will focus on new product development and innovation.
Miner Enterprises Inc appointed John P Swezey general manager of its wholly owned subsidiary Powerbrace Corporation, replacing Mike Weber, who is retiring. Swezey most recently served as vice-president and chief mechanical officer at CIT Rail.
Phillips Industries has hired Tom Pittam to fill the new position of Southeast Asia sales manager. He will report directly to Travis Hopkey, global business development manager. For 12 years before joining Phillips, Pittam was technical director and marketing manager for Yonming Auto and Industrial Equipment SDN BHD, a parts distributor in Kuala Lumpur.
Reyco Granning has appointed David J Compton president. His background includes more than 30 years at a Tier 1 automotive supplier with experience in engineering, operations, and general management. Ray Mueller, who served as president during Reyco Granning's change in ownership, will move to a new role as senior vice-president of business development.
Tom Haughs, formerly with Ancra International, has joined Tarpstop LLC as the vice-president of sales and marketing. Haughs brings more than 20 years of industry knowledge and experience to the Tarpstop management team.
