The Great Dane Trailers dealer network has added Superstition Trailers (Tucson, Ariz. and Phoenix, Ariz.), and expanded four other dealer locations in the United States, Mexico and Canada.
Last month, Great Dane Trailers named Superstition Trailers with four facilities in the Phoenix and Tucson areas, as a new full-service dealer. During 2006, Great Dane Trailers also announced the expansion of existing relationships with Central Valley Trailer Repair (Stockton, Calif.), Trudell Trailers of Fargo (Fargo, N.D.), Zapata (Guanajuato, Mexico) and Glasvan Great Dane Sales, Inc. (Mississauga, Ontario, Canada).
"These dealers represent the latest in our strategic expansion of Great Dane's North American full-service dealer network," said Chris Hammond, vice president, dealer sales. "Our goal is to establish and cultivate relationships with dealers who provide outstanding sales support and service and also represent Great Dane's commitment to our customers and quality."
Additions and expansions to the Great Dane Trailers full-service network of dealers include:
Superstition Trailers with headquarters in Phoenix, Ariz. has two locations in Tucson and two locations in Phoenix focused on regional trailer sales, parts and service. The company employs more than 125 staff members and recently completed the renovation of a 43,000-square-foot facility in Phoenix. In addition to Great Dane's complete product line, Superstition's service department is fully equipped to handle all types of trailer repair, fabrication and installation, while also offering certified brake and federal inspection as well as mobile repair service.
Central Valley Trailer Repair, Inc. (CVTR) opened a branch in Stockton, Calif. in May 2006. The full-service facility allows CVTR to service their customers in the north part of the central valley of Calif. as well as the Bay Area. CVTR employs 28 service technicians allowing the company to perform any type of trailer maintenance including refrigeration service and repair. Their fleet of mobile service trucks and 24-hour emergency service allows them to minimize customer downtime. In addition to representing Great Dane Trailers, CVTR maintains a fully stocked parts department and a full-service rental and leasing operation. The Stockton Branch is the second full-service location for Central Valley Trailer Repair. The original facility, located at 2606 S. Railroad Ave. in Fresno, Calif. has been in business for 21 years.
Trudell Trailers of Fargo, N.D. expanded its sales and rental operation to a full-service dealership in May 2006 with the purchase of Fargo Trailer Center. Trudell acquired Fargo Trailer Center's 22,000-sq.-ft facility in West Fargo, which operates an 11-bay shop and provides parts, repair and custom fabrication on semi-trailers. The Fargo location is Trudell's fourth full-service facility in addition to Trudell Trailers Green Bay, Wis., Milwaukee, Wis., and Minneapolis, Minn. dealerships.
Zapata added its Leon Guanajuato facility as a full-service dealership in Feb. 2006 following the purchase of an existing competitor dealership. Featuring eight service bays, a 24-hour mobile rescue truck, Zapata chose to purchase the location in a heavily industrial area of Central Mexico. In addition, Zapata also operates three other locations in Mexico's industrial/agricultural triangle along with two locations in Mexico City, and one location each in Queretaro, Leon, Monterrey, and Guadalajara.
After more than 25 years of service, Glasvan Great Dane Sales, Inc. continues to establish itself as one of the premier trailer sales, service and parts companies in Canada. As an established dealer of Great Dane Trailers, Glasvan added three new locations in 2006 including Alliston (parts & service), Guelph (service) and Putnam (service). With its two existing sales, service and parts locations in Mississauga and Whitby, Ontario, Glasvan Great Dane covers a major portion of the Canadian marketplace employing more than 100 people. The company now has a total of 37 service bays and 20,000-square-feet of parts warehousing.
"The past 12 months has been a year of exciting period of growth for Great Dane and for our customers," says Hammond. "We have experienced growth in the marketplace, new products and an expanded dealer, service and parts network. The addition of Superstition Trailers as a new dealer and the expansion of another three existing dealer relationships in 2006 alone will position both Great Dane to be competitive into the future."
