Docking bar option protects reefer trailers

Feb 1, 2004 12:00 PM

A new option for delivery vehicles such as trailers serving supermarket chains was announced at the Amsterdam RAI by Lamberet. The intensive docking pack is a 100 mm (4") diameter galvanized steel tube fixed horizontally on four rubber shock absorbers. When backing to the dock, the tube absorbs the impact as the shock absorbers compress from 110 mm to 40 mm (4.5" to 1.5"). Furthermore, as the rear of the trailer settles during loading, the galvanized steel tube slides down the dock surface. This protects rubber bumpers from being torn off.
