Trailer-Lift Ltd.'s trailer with built-in scissor lift made its North American debut at the 2010 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show and earned a SEMA Global Media Award.

The patented Trailer-Lift -- which transports vehicles and uses its built-in scissor lift to raise them for display, inspection or service -- was chosen for the award by a panel of 24 journalists from 15 countries who evaluated 2,000 products for their potential impact and commercial success.

"We are honored by the Global Media Award and pleased by the huge number of SEMA Show visitors who also showed great enthusiasm for the Trailer-Lift," said Tim McCullagh, managing director, Trailer-Lift.  "A lot of time and effort has gone into the research and development of the product and we feel the finished product is amazing."

Using its remote control, the Trailer-Lift can raise a vehicle 5.5 feet off the platform in less than 40 seconds or be stopped at any height for convenience.  The hydraulic lift is powered by a self-contained 24v battery that can be charged from the towing vehicle.  The approximately 6.5-foot-wide by 13.5-foot-long trailer weighs about 3,400 pounds and handles a Maximum Gross Weight of 7,700 pounds.

Since the Trailer-Lift's introduction in the U.K., the product has been utilized by major motor sports teams, government agencies, premium car dealerships and Europe's largest vehicle recovery company, the Automobile Association, among others.

The company has established an office in the United States to develop and manage a network of warehouse distributors, jobbers and manufacturer reps across the United States and Canada.
