Warner Bodies Acquires New Division

Jan 24, 2008 4:28 PM

Warner Bodies, a manufacturer of utility bodies, trailer-towing haulers and fire and rescue trucks, has expanded its business by purchasing the fabrication division of Metro Products. Metro, an Indianapolis-based fabrication facility, manufactures small- and medium-volume subcontract work for a variety of customers. Warner also acquired Metro’s Langsenkamp line of food processing, chemical and pharmaceutical equipment. The acquisition will bring around $1.5 million in sales to the company.

In February, Warner will break ground on a new 30,000-square-foot facility in Noblesville, Indiana. The company plans to move the 15 employees along with their CNC turret presses, laser and other fabrication equipment to this facility in mid-June.

“The acquisition is a good fit for Warner. It provides our truck equipment manufacturing division with new, state-of-the-art fabrication equipment and experienced employees,” stated Warner Bodies’ President, Mark Boice. “We believe Warner’s strong sales and marketing experience will help the new fabrication division grow.”
