Wabash adds DuraPlate AeroSkirt

Wabash National Corporation announced that its DuraPlate Products Group has launched the DuraPlate AeroSkirt, a new aerodynamic accessory for semitrailers. Testing has verified that a trailer equipped with the DuraPlate AeroSkirt can provide 5.6% of fuel savings and a 6% efficiency improvement.
Drawing on the success of the DuraPlate composite panel, the DuraPlate AeroSkirt features a trailer side skirt design with the ability to flex both inward and outward to reduce damage. The DuraPlate AeroSkirt is also easy to install, can be attached to various model trailers, and has the durability of the DuraPlate composite panel.
“The DuraPlate AeroSkirt has been approved by EPA's SmartWay program,” said Jamie Scarcelli, vice-president and general manager of DuraPlate Products Group.
