US Navy orders 16 vehicles from E-One

Aug 1, 2002 12:00 PM

Emergency One Inc (E-One) announced that production is proceeding on a multiple-unit order for the United States Navy. The order is for 16 special-service vehicles, and their primary role is to support Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD) missions for 16 shore-based teams the Navy has nationwide.

A key focal point of the trucks is to support a robot system the Navy uses in conjunction with an EOD mission. Each vehicle has a ramp to allow a robot to be deployed — along with the appropriate remote control systems and interior cabinetry for instrument and accessory storage.
