Reading Truck Body's newly enhanced service body, the 2007 Classic II, features heavy-duty hidden door hinges with overlapping door construction, a patented feature. Another patented feature is a galvanneal pressed diamond floor plate and tailgate inner panel that presents a rugged diamond panel surface.
Doors of the Classic II have wider, automotive-grade rubber door seals that use EPDM neoprene solid rubber. An audible alarm system comes with Reading's Latch-Matic wireless locking system. The alarm “guards” all compartments in addition to cargo areas on enclosed bodies. The Latch-Matic and alarm are available with the C2-50 options package.
The Classic II also provides:
Removable stainless steel knee brace that allows the tailgate to swing down completely.
Twice as many compartment dividers allow flexibility and better organization of parts.
Flat cargo area on most models (wheel boxes removed).
Modern rectangular rear lights (with optional lighting).
Redesigned top-opening Spacemaker lids with two props, new rotary catches, and push-button release.
Cargo area light (C2-50 options package) provides automatic lighting in cargo bed area.
Rub rail corner casting offers tough, reinforced corner and accents Reading's signature rub rail design.
The company's Lo-Pro Ready Van has been updated for 2007. It has an audible alarm system that works in conjunction with the Latch-Matic keyless/remote locking system. It provides additional security protection and convenience and helps guard all compartments in addition to the cargo area. It also has the Extend-a-Shelf drawer system and automatic compartment lighting that light up for 10 minutes when Latch-Matic system is unlocked.
Lo-Pro features heavy-duty hidden door hinges with overlapping door construction. Robust hinges provide extra protection against corrosion and do not require frequent lubrication or maintenance. Another patented feature is a galvanneal pressed diamond floor plate, providing better traction in the cargo area and on the heavy-duty tailgate.
