Net income at Oshkosh increases

Apr 24, 2003 12:00 PM

Oshkosh Truck Corp. today reported that second quarter net income increased 16% to $14.1 million on sales of $453.4 million.

Oshkosh added that its sales increased 9.1% and its operating income increased 3.4% to $24.4 million.

The company's operating income decreased 6.4% to $11.4 million, or 6.2% of sales, compared to 7.2% of sales in the prior year quarter. Oshkosh said those margins were lower due to a higher percentage of package chassis and body sales versus body-only sales in the current year quarter.
