Meierling welded steel-aluminum dump

Meierling showed an all-aluminum half-pipe dump body at the IAA, and also a small mock-up of a bi-metal dump body they will produce in the spring of 2003. It will have aluminum sides and a steel floor of Hardox. It will be all-welded construction using bi-metal strips between the steel and aluminum. The weight will be 700 kg (1,540 lb) more than the all-aluminum body on display, and the cost will be $3,500 more.
