Kidron puts Tulare CA plant into operation

The Kidron division of Specialized Vehicles Corp (SVC) has begun production of refrigerated truck bodies and dry freight vans in the newly acquired manufacturing plant in Tulare CA.
Kidron is producing its full product line in Tulare, including Ultra, Glaciervan, and Hackney Classic refrigerated truck bodies, as well as Emperor refrigerated distribution trailers. The company will also be introducing dry freight cutaway bodies to serve dealer markets. The Tulare facility has approximately 142,500 square feet of manufacturing space.
Former employees of Grumman and the Kidron management team have been working on an integration plan to ensure a smooth transition and start-up. Kidron personnel from Ohio are working beside Tulare production employees, training them on Kidron-specific processes and techniques.
