Crysteel Mfg Inc acquires J-Craft Inc

Crysteel Mfg Inc of Lake Crystal MN has acquired truck equipment manufacturer J-Craft Inc, based in Kimball MN. The acquisition is aimed at enhancing and expanding Crysteel's presence in the upper Midwest. J-Craft began operations in 1978, and its products serve the construction, contractor, landscaping, municipal, and agricultural markets.
A hoist, platform, and dump body producer, Crysteel has more than 300 distributors worldwide, including all 50 states. it began producing truck hoists in 1969 in Arlington MN. In 1970 a facility was opened in Lake Crystal. Today, the company has grown to 260 employees including a second manufacturing facility in Fulton NY.
