Astoria enhances its crane mount body

Astoria Industries of Iowa, producer of fiberglass service bodies, utility bodies, toppers, and inserts, has redesigned its crane mount body.
This body is designed to properly support up to and including 25,000-ft-lb cranes. The same type of structure is used to support 50,000-ft-lb cranes with the only difference being the size of support members. High load capacity of the Astoria crane support lies in the torsion cell configuration of the transverse structure, which transfers the loads to the truck frame. The design maximizes crane capacity while minimizing crane tower deflection under load.
