Schien introduces aluminum grain body

May 1, 2009 12:00 PM

Schien Equipment in Carlinville, Illinois, is entering the grain body market with an all-aluminum, smooth-side model designed for both bulk grain and palletized products. Besides the grain door, the triple rear doors can swing out of the way, as demonstrated by Paul Madden. The rear header is removable, and the 1¼" interlocking I-beam extruded aluminum floor is fork-lift compatible. This 20-ft body shown at the Mid-America Trucking Show can be fitted with either a telescopic or underbody hoist. The 60" sides of .190" aluminum are reinforced with a formed horizontal center brace. Weight of the body is 2,200 lb without tarp.
