The Mid-Size Bus Manufacturers Association (MSBMA), an Affiliate Division of the National Truck Equipment Association (NTEA), announced a period of public comment for Recommended Practice 001 - Weight Distribution and Payload as it applies to mid-size buses.

Although proposed changes to the document are relatively minor, the MSBMA wishes to solicit any public comment that may enhance the quality of the Recommended Practice within its stated scope, purpose and application.

The Recommended Practice in its draft form can be viewed by visiting the NTEA.com Web site. A link is available on the home page under “MSBMA seeks public comment on recommended practice for weight distribution.”

If you would like to submit comments on the draft for consideration, they must be submitted in writing (either typed or legibly written). Contact information must also be provided with submittals in case questions arise with the provided comments. For consideration to be given to comments on the draft Recommended Practice, all comments must be received via certified mail by Jan. 31, 2007 at the following address: Attn: MSBMA Technical Committee - RP001, NTEA, 37400 Hills Tech Drive, Farmington Hills, MI 48331-3414
