Mickey, Rush Enterprises team up to recondition beverage trucks

Jul 11, 2005 10:29 AM

Mickey Truck Bodies has partnered with Rush Enterprises as its authorized reconditioning and service center partner for customers in Arizona, California, Nevada and Utah.

Mickey customers will be serviced from Rush Enterprises’ service and reconditioning centers in Fontana, CA and Phoenix, AZ. The two Rush Truck centers will stock a complete line of Mickey parts as well as parts for other major makes and models of bodies and trailers.

Rush Enterprises is a full-service truck dealer and service company. It operates the largest network of Peterbilt heavy-duty truck dealerships in North America. Its current operations include a network of 44 Rush Truck Centers located in Texas, California, Oklahoma, Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, Alabama, Florida and Tennessee. The company has developed its truck dealerships as “one-stop centers” where, at one location, its customers can purchase new or used equipment; purchase insurance products; purchase aftermarket parts and accessories; and have service performed by certified technicians.

“Rush Enterprises is a nationally renowned supplier of new equipment and services, and this arrangement gives us an entry point into key western markets through a very reputable company,” says Dean Sink, Mickey President. “With Rush Enterprises augmenting our existing company-owned centers in North Carolina, Florida, New Jersey, Texas and Illinois, we can now offer our customers convenient and professional service and reconditioning coverage from coast to coast.”

Rush technicians and supervisors from the Rush Truck Centers in Fontana and Phoenix recently spent a week at Mickey’s reconditioning and service center in Thomasville, NC and the company’s main manufacturing plant in High Point for a training program hosted by Mickey engineers and production supervisors.

The two Rush Truck Centers house 20 to 25 service bays and 80-foot split-cabin paint booths. Each facility has a staff of more than 100 professionals for the dealer and reconditioning businesses combined, with 15 to 20 associates dedicated to the reconditioning business at each location.
