Hackney announces increase in prices

Sep 21, 2004 5:06 PM

Hackney has raised prices on all truck body and trailer product lines as of September 1.

Hackney has experienced continuing cost increases from its suppliers on all major raw material components used in its products, especially steel and aluminum. These cost increases have resulted in Hackney implementing price increases ranging from 6-8% across its product lines.

Mike Tucker, President and Chief Operating Officer of Hackney, said, "The pricing environment for most of our products has been very stable in recent years. Unfortunately, the escalating level of material cost increases we are currently experiencing requires us to pass through these increases to our customers."
