Federal Signal completes sale of refuse truck body business, closes facility

Federal Signal Corporation today announced that the sale of certain assets of its Leach refuse truck body business to Labrie Equipment Limited has been completed. In addition, production at Federal Signal's Medicine Hat refuse body facility has ceased.
"Our difficult, but necessary, exit from the Leach Refuse truck body business enables us to focus our efforts on growing Federal Signal profitably over the long-term." said Robert D. Welding, president and chief executive officer. "Thank you to our dedicated and determined employees in Refuse who have worked so hard to ensure seamless support for customers through this transition -- we wish them the best."
