NESCO Sales and Rentals purchased Utility Equipment Leasing Corporation (UELC) of Waukesha, Wisconsin December 21, 2012.

The purchase combines the number two and number three utility equipment rental companies in North America, according to NESCO.

The UELC fleet adds over 500 bucket trucks and digger derricks. Customers will benefit from access to more than 3,000 pieces of equipment, plus a nationwide parts and service network. The acquisition includes UELC's service centers in Waukesha, Wisconsin, Fort Worth, Texas, and Ontario, California.

“Acquiring UELC further broadens NESCO’s fleet offering and expands our customer base and ability to service our customer’s equipment needs nationwide,” said Lee Jacobson, NESCO's chief executive officer. “The acquisition solidifies our position as one of the premier service and equipment providers in the utility and telecommunications rental markets.”

Jacobson also said the deal demonstrates the company’s commitment to what he describes as “strategic consolidation.”

NESCO Sales & Rentals has over 3,000 new & used bucket trucks, digger derricks, truck cranes, pressure diggers, aerial platforms, sign trucks, pullers, tensioners, reel trailers, pole trailers, underground equipment, cable rodders, cable pullers, mini diggers, service trucks, utility trucks, augers and more. The company also is an authorized distributor for: Elliott Equipment, Manitex Cranes, Mantis Cranes, National Crane, Prinoth, Hogg & Davis, Watson Drill Rigs, TSE International, Condux, SDP Manufacturing, Morooka, Posi Plus, Skylift, Fairmont, Arnco and are a Samson Rope Strategic Partner. The company also is an authorized Terex Utilities Rental Partner.
