Maxon Lift Corp. Files Patent Complaint Against Four Competitors

Aug. 1, 2016

Maxon Industries, Inc., d.b.a. Maxon Lift Corp, has filed four patent complaints in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against four competitive liftgate manufacturers.

Each lawsuit alleges patent infringement of three separate patents that were issued to Maxon, one in 2012, one in 2013, and one in 2014.  The patents in question specifically relate to features offered in the Maxon BMR series column lift.

Maxon alleges that each company named in the complaints has been and continues to infringe these three patents.  Maxon is requesting monetary damages in an amount adequate to compensate for each defendants infringement, together with interest and costs fixed by the court, including compensatory damages and treble damages for willful infringement, as well as other costs and fees.  Maxon is also asking the court to permanently enjoin each defendant from infringing Maxon’s patents.
